Very convenient for us to stay in Holyhead as we came in by ferry and rented a car there. We also used it to take a return trip to Edinburgh.
Holyhead may not be a beautiful town but Holy and Anglesey islands certainly are, so a good base to see some lovely scenery and coastline. I would recommend a car though.

I've only ever travelled through Holyhead en route from Ireland to the UK and back, but I walked around the town a bit with my dog on this trip, and the area around the B&B was nice enough. Beyond that I really can't say as yet, but I'll definitely return.

Not much in the Pier area, very residential.
Not much in the Pier area, very residential. Expect to walk a lot, crossed bridge to City Center for the amenities we were looking for, food & historic sites. 2 days were enough to stay before heading to Dublin on the Ferry.

booked in holyhead purely to meet friends off a cruise ship.
booked in holyhead purely to meet friends off a cruise ship. holyhead itself has little to nothing to offer tourists but as a base to visit other parts of Anglesey its fine. holyhead seems like its been abandoned by the council and needs money spending on it, all the locals we met were lovely and they deserve more.

We visit Holyhead regularly as we travel a lot by ferry. So are usually only there overnight. Busy little town, but normally head for a B & B so do not know town very well, although it looks fine.
Everything was great. The location is magnificent. View of the ocean from the pod.
I had troubles with my service and couldn't go to booking to double check the instructions or call the host Sue. But she was so patient and understandable and made sure we know how to find the pods. Thank you!
Awesome stay. I only wish we were staying for more than one night. But hopefully soon!
Perfect spot to explore Anglesey from!
Great location close to the ferry port. We didn't avail of breakfast as we were travelling on the ferry early. The room was adequate with tea making facilities in the room and the en-suite was clean. Helpful information provided about local eating places.
The owner was extremely accommodating and gave us a ride from the ferry (and very late at night) and took us to the train station in the morning. She was great. The room was also nicer than most bed and breakfasts we had been staying at.
Very relaxing and peaceful. Very friendly but unobtrusive hostess. Breakfast was ready in bedroom. Fruit, yoghurt, bakery etc. Bed extremely comfy.
Shower room lovely. Tastefully done up.
Very handy for Holyhead ferry port.
The room was very clean, had a convenient location and the most important thing was that the man who ran the hotel was above and beyond helpful with my taxi rides. I am very grateful for the stay and for the help. Thank you!
We stayed in room 7, it was a lovely large room with a huge bathroom. The hotel and room were impeccably clean which was fab. Overall great value for money, close to the ferry port and the cleanest hotel I have stayed in.
TJ gave a warm welcome and explained everything really well, the room was super clean and had all the essentials you would need. The B and B was really homey. Ideal for getting the ferry from Holyhead port.
Excellent location for arriving by ferry late at night and needing a bed so we could rent a car at the port in the morning. Someone met us at the door after midnight to let us in which I appreciated.
Good choice of breakfast and good amount. David and Debbie always willing to chat and recommend places to visit. Good location to explore Anglesey and close to main road for trips further afield.
beautiful accommodation, great food in the restaurant and they even opened the kitchen early so we could get breakfast before leaving to catch our morning ferry from Holyhead to Dublin
The host was lovely and welcoming. The room was nice, clean and quiet. Perfect location for the ferry at holyhead only a 5 minute drive. Breakfast was delicious.
